Dawn's Hope Chapter 2
Holy Might


     Nyroden, Asev, Therech and Kalsban were all riding to their next quest. What they were told to do was to scout out the outer areas of Metstead called Draghelm, where a good lot of demons seemed to have taken hold of. As they rode on horses on their way to Draghelm, Nyroden at the lead and Therech at the end, they made their way.  As they arrived, they saw burning houses, people running and screaming, the dead walking the earth, and the two necromancers that had gotten away, along with three demon lords wrecking the town. "Seems they've already made their move." Nyroden said.
     As the group dismounted, they were immediately rushed by as much as eight skeletons. Nyroden shrugged them off by smashing two with her hammer and destroying three with a holy burst of light. Therech took the other three head on with his shield and hammer; he killed the two but the third came up behind him, to which Kalsban shattered it with a burst of magic. "Quick! Let's get the necromancers!" Nyroden shouted.
     The four ran as fast as possible, decimating undead along the way. As they reached the two necromancers, Asev dodged behind one and stabbed him as the other three took on the second one. Ultimately, Therech gave the killing blow to the second one, hitting him extremely hard with his hammer. "Now for the demon lords!" Nyroden once again shouted. They all charged at the demon lords, attacking them with brute force. Nyroden managed to land a striking blow against one with her hammer and another burst of light. Therech and Asev took on the second one and Kalsban tried to keep them all protected. Nyroden managed to slay the first just as Therech and Asev brought down the second. The last one still remained but shouted "You will not last mortals; Kim'inei will have your heads! I shall see to it that you will be destroyed!" and then flew away with the rest of his demons. "Tha's what you think!" screamed Therech.
     Nyroden kneeled down, exhausted and drained after that fight. "We need to get stronger if we're to take down the likes of them." she said, grimly. The group walked up to the town magistrate. "Thank you, you saved us all from that menace." the magistrate said. "You're welcome, I'm sorry we didn't get here in time to head them off." Nyroden said. "It's fine, we'll begin repairs soon." the magistrate replied. "Now to go back to the commander." Nyroden said as she mounted up. Therech mounted up too, saying "C'mon guys, let's ride!"
