Love Is Hard Chapter 4


     Jack sat in his car thinking. "Do I tell her today? Do I wait? Let me just test the waters for now. Yeah, that's a good idea." he said to himself. "Ugh, this is so frustrating, I love her so much, but then again, I'm not sure if she loves me back." he thought. "Dammit all, love is so hard." he once again thought. Jack started up his car and drove off to Jesse's house.
     Once Jack arrived he ran to the door and knocked. "Hi Jesse!" he was so happy to see her, it was as if he hadn't seen her for years. "Hi Jack! You're awful happy to see me, aren't you?" Jesse said. Jack blushed. "Must've gotten a tad carried away." he said. "Well come on in!" Jesse said and invited Jack in.
     Once again they had coffee and talked about random stuff. Jack sighed. "I'm still having problems forgetting about Mel." he said. "What Mel did to you wasn't very nice, and it's torturing you, you need a break." Jesse said. ""I know, but I don't know how to get one, I can't stop thinking about what she did, and that all of that time we had was just a waste. It was so close to our one year anniversary too. Almost a year of my life I wasted on her." Jack replied. "Listen hun, it's going to be hard, all those memories, all that time you loved her, and then she blows you off to go out with some other asshole, it's going to be hard, but you have friends who want to help you, you should really listen to them." Jesse said. Jack sighed again. "I guess you're right. You know Jesse, I really like you, you listen to me and help me in ways no one else has." he said. Jesse blushed and said "Well you're a really nice person too, and I like you too. "
     Once again, Jack left in his car. He felt happy this time, this time he was in ecstasy from what she said. "I really like her, she listens to me, and she's sweet, and beautiful, and-" Jack made a sudden swerve to miss a car. "WATCH IT ASSHOLE!" the guy from the car that Jack almost hit said. "Whoopsies, maybe I need to watch where I'm going. In more ways than one."
