Love Is Hard Chapter 5


     Jack sat at his computer playing video games. "I'm bored." he thought. "Maybe I'll call up Jesse." he said to himself. He grabbed the phone and dialed her number. Then the phone rang until she picked it up. "Hello Jesse?" he asked in the phone. "Yeah?" she replied back. "It's me Jack." Jack said. "Hi Jack!" Jesse squealed. "Listen Jesse, can I talk to you sometime?" Jack asked. "Sure, how's about at the park next Tuesday, say around five?" Jesse said. "Sounds great to me! I've got a day off that day." said Jack.
     Next Tuesday rolled around and Jack was waiting in the park for Jesse. Eventually Jesse showed up in a blue truck with a big white stripe down the side. As soon as she got out she spotted Jack. "Hi Jack!" Jesse said. "Hey." Jack replied. Jesse sat down beside him. "So what was it you wanted to talk to me about?" Jesse asked. "Listen, I'm scared to death to say this, but while I have some nerve in me, I might as well say it." Jack said in a confident manner. "Jesse, I love you. When Mel broke up with me, you were there for me, and I realize that you are the one I love the most, and I'm happy to be around you, and I want to be with you for the rest of my life, although I don't know what you'll think of all this." Jack said. Jesse was astonished. "I-I-I don't know what to say. I mean, well, I kinda have something to tell you too." said Jesse. "What would that be?" Jack asked. "Well, I've fallen for you too. I mean, well, I loved you for awhile, and I really think you're a wonderful person." she said. Jack blushed.
     They talked for a long while until Jack finally asked what he was dying to ask her. "Jesse, will you go out with me?" Jack asked. Jesse blushed. "Well, what have we got to lose? Okay." she said in a triumphant manner. "That's wonderful!" Jack yelled. He suddenly grabbed her, hugged her, and then kissed her on the lips. They both then blushed. "Whoops, couldn't control myself." Jack said while starting to shake. Jesse was dazed. She felt wonderful after he did that. "I love you." Jack said. "Jack, I think we're going to have a lot of fun together." Jesse said. "I do too." said Jack.
